Ryan Fraser's warning to Newcastle United's rivals as he resumes partnership with Callum Wilson

Ryan Fraser believes that his partnership with Callum Wilson can get 'even better' at Newcastle United.

The pair spent six seasons together at Bournemouth and combined for 12 top-flight goals in 2018/19 - which remains the most productive partnership in a 38-game campaign.

After Wilson and Fraser were unveiled on Monday, Steve Bruce said he was 'excited' by their 'wonderful chemistry' on the pitch as he looks to add a new dimension to his side going forward.

Although the pair would be the first to admit that they were not at their best last season - the Cherries were relegated after all - Fraser believes they can only get better in this side.

"We work really well together," the 26-year-old told the club's website. "We have played with each other for so long now. We just know where we each other is going to be.

"He knows that if I get the ball in certain areas, he knows where I'm going to try and put it. Likewise, when I put it there, I'll know he will be there. We know each other's games.

"We like each other as well. Off the pitch, we're good friends. I'm really going to enjoy working with him, playing with him again.

"I think we can do better than the last couple of seasons with the boys we've got in the team providing service and working altogether as a team.

"There's no reason why we can't do that and bring goals, assists and wins to the team."
