Ryan Christie gets post Celtic career lift off as Scott Parker swoons over Bournemouth 'bit of class'

Bournemouth boss Scott Parker has praised the instant impact of Ryan Christie after his Celtic exit.

Christie left Parkhead for the south coast on the final day of the summer window with just a few months left to run on his contract.

English Premier League side Burnley and a number of French clubs were also credited with an interest earlier in the window but he opted for a switch to the Championship.

He has been a success so far as he has helped steer the Cherries to top spot in the league with his early contributions.

The Scotland cap chipped in with assists for Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke as they kept up their early season momentum by seeing off Luton Town.

Parker singled out the impact of the former Celtic man as he a key factor in their form so far this term in his post-match breakdown.

The former England cap said: "Two lovely assists. Nice bit of class in terms of a little flick.

"It was the little bit of class and craft you need in those tight areas in between the lines.

"We’re fortunate we’ve got players in those areas. Players that can operate in real tight spaces between the lines.

"And then have the quality to then feed passes. He was very good at that.

"And then the second as well. Pleased with him, he’s done well."
