Ryan Christie Celtic transfer update as three Premier League sides 'step up interest' in move

Burnley have revived their interest in Celtic star Ryan Christie after the 26-year-old's impressive start to the season.

Christie has been a key part of Ange Postecoglou's explosive tenure so far, playing 90 minutes in both 6-0 victories over Dundee and St Mirren.

He registered a hat-trick of assists against the former and has caught the eye of of various teams in England and beyond.

Christie is out of contract in January so can sign a pre-contract deal now that would see him move for free on January 1st.

Southampton were linked with a move over the weekend and although it's believed Christie does not want to sign off on a Bosman move early, there is optimism south of the border that he could be tempted.

The Daily Record report that Premier League side Burnley are prepared to step up their longstanding interest in Christie with Sean Dyche adding him to a list of priority targets.

As well as Burnley, the Record note interest from Crystal Palace and Brighton, who both present interesting options.

Palace are in rebuild mode with Patrick Vieira putting together an exciting young squad.

Brighton, meanwhile, have played an attractive brand of football under Graham Potter and have won both of their games so far this season.

As well as the Premier League trio, there is also believed to be interest from Sampdoria and Nice in signing Christie.
