Ryan Burnett has predicted fireworks as he prepares for his eagerly anticipated ring return.
The former unified bantamweight world champion hasn't fought since suffering a freak back injury in his World Boxing Super Series quarter-final against Nonito Donaire last November.
It is the sole defeat on the 26-year-old's record, and on Friday night he will look to get back on the glory trail when he takes on Jelbirt Gomera at the Ulster Hall.
"It is good to be back, and be back fighting in Belfast again," Burnett said.

"I have never boxed at the Ulster Hall so it is exciting.
"I was in a bad way after the injury, but since then I have been training and got the all-clear from medical experts who have said I am good to go.
"At the time it was a freak injury and I am completely healed, so it won't come back."
Burnett added: "This is the longest period of time I have been out so I am excited. I am refreshed and excited to get punching again.

"I am going in there to knock someone out, 100 per cent.
"I am a world level fighter. I belong on the world stage and I know what it is like to be up there. I have seen the talent pool and I belong to be up there."
