Ryan Anderson’s role is growing because of the fire he brings to Redskins defense

All arrows continue to point up for Washington Redskins defender Ryan Anderson.

Anderson, who called this year “do or die,” has seen his role increase on a weekly basis lately. And not just because of injuries to the roster. Per defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, it also simply has to do with Anderson himself continually upping his game as the season continues.

And more power to Anderson, who is in the final year of his deal after a ho-hum first few seasons after the Redskins made him a second-round pick in 2017.

Here’s Manusky on the topic, per Kyle Stackpole of the team’s official website:

This is what the Redskins should want to see at this point of the season. They’re in full-blown evaluation mode, so guys like Anderson stepping it up and making it known a certain area of potential need won’t need addressed is always a good thing.
