Ruud Gullit in bizarre Hibs review as Dutch legend brands Jamie Murphy 'Italian like'

There's times when even Scottish football can surprise you despite everything that happens in our mad wee world.

But when Dutch footballing legend Ruud Gullit is getting involved by 'reviewing' Hibs in their 2-2 with Dundee last weekend.

And he has described Jamie Murphy as 'Italian like' after the winger won himself a penalty during the first half of the game to get Hibs back on level terms.

He was also very impressed by the second goal as Ryan Porteous volleyed home from a well worked corner to put his side in front.

Dundee would end up equalising but it didn't stop the former Feyenoord, PSV and AC Milan legend from shouting 'Come on Hibs' as he praised their performance.

He felt Jack Ross had worked hard on the corner routine that got the second goal and he wasn't slow in praising them.

In the video, he says: “I’m watching my first Hibs game. Saw the first goal and it was clever from the striker to wait for the defender.

“He earned the penalty, very clever. Almost Italian.

“Second goal, I think they studied this on the training ground because it was an excellent corner.

“Love it. Good goal, good finish. Come on Hibs.”
