Ruud Gullit identifies "huge mistake" Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made vs Barcelona

Ruud Gullit has slammed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tactics in Manchester United's defeat by Barcelona, saying the Red Devils boss made a "huge mistake".

Manchester United went into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash with the Catalan giants trailing by a goal to nil, meaning they had to go out an attack in Spain.

For the most part the Red Devils did exactly that, but they were picked off all too easily by Lionel Messi and co. who put three past them without reply.

After the game Gullit dissected United's game plan over the two legs and says Solskjaer set his side up wrong in both matches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's message to Alexis Sanchez after Man Utd defeat

"They succeeded half because of the own goal – Messi had no shots on target but then you go to the Nou Camp and all of a sudden you want to attack.

"I don't understand it because you're not going to win in it then. Eventually on a pitch like that it's difficult to play like that.
