A Rutherglen wrestler is to return to the ring this month in Glasgow, after enjoying success on a BBC sitcom.
Earlier this year Lanarkshire Live told how Lee Greig - known by his ring name Jack Jester - was appearing in BBC Scotland show The Scotts, in what was his first acting role.
However, the grappler from Fernhill will now be getting back to the day job, with an appearance at one of Scotland's most legendary venues for Insane Championship Wrestling on the cards.
The former ICW World Heavyweight Champion is set to face villainous Ian Skinner and Charles Vyce in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on the second night of Fear and Loathing, the two-day flagship event for the company, on Sunday, November 21 at the Barrowland Ballroom.
Lee’s return to the squared circle follows an eight-month hiatus, during which time he filmed The Scotts - written by Burniston’s Robert Florence.
He said: "I can’t wait to hear the roar of a live crowd again in Glasgow’s most-famous venue. Producing content during the pandemic was our way of thanking fans for all their support over the years, but nothing compares to performing live.
"Fear and Loathing can’t come soon enough."
Earlier this year Lee told us he was enjoying acting, but doubted he would ever quit the squared circle.
He said: "I needed to switch gears and get back going again to wrestle again, because I'd never had a break from it before. Wrestling will always be a part of my life and I love it, but the Scotts has given me a kick, and I'd like to act more too."
Jester’s match joins a huge card of action across Fear and Loathing weekend, including Bellator MMA fighter Chris Bungard’s in-ring debut against professional wrestler Jason Reed.
Weekend and single-night tickets for ICW Fear and Loathing are available here.
Fans can also watch ICW on-demand on Peacock in the US and on the WWE Network elsewhere.
