A Rutherglen swimming pool has been forced to close due to poo being found in the water.
The Eastfield Leisure Centre, the area's biggest gym, will not reopen their pool until tomorrow (Thursday).
A post on the Council's Leisure In South Lanarkshire Facebook page stated: "Lifestyle Eastfields pool is currently closed due to an AFR incident, we are working hard to reopen and expect to be open for Thursday morning."
AFR refers to Accidental Faecal Release ad the incident occurred during the day on Tuesday.
The news came just weeks after it was revealed that floaters were the most common reason for swimming pool closures across South Lanarkshire last year.
A Freedom of Information Request has revealed accidental faecal release (AFR) caused the most partial closures in the area - although none had been at Eastfield.
