Police have closed off a car park in Rutherglen after two men were seriously assaulted in a murder bid.
Emergency services swooped on the scene at East Kilbride Road at around 10.40pm on Sunday night.
Ambulance crews rushed two men, aged 51 and 27, to Hairmyres Hospital after the incident.
The extent of their injuries remains unclear.
Police have remained in the area since the initial reports and have appealed for members of the public to come forward with any information.
