Ruth Langsford's linen co-ords are the low-effort holiday outfits that make packing so much easier

Ruth Langsford at Wimbledon on 1 July, 2026.

With another heatwave well underway and final summer holidays coming up, light and airy staples like Ruth Langsford’s breezy linen-blend co-ord make knowing what to pack and what to wear in the heat so easy.

Showcasing exactly why the linen co-ord is such a brilliant building block in a capsule wardrobe, she took to Instagram last year to style up her Ruth Langsford pull-on cropped linen blend trousers and the Ruth Langsford linen blend dolman sleeve blouse. They're both from her QVC collection, and you can still buy the look in various sizes and colours for the bargain price of £24 per piece.

As well as being easily paired together, Ruth knows that co-ords will work hard in late August to make hot weather dressing feel less daunting. She shared three ways she likes to style her 'cool and breezy' linen co-ord, which she says is 'perfect for holidays, garden parties or just looking effortlessly chic in the sunshine'. It's also a great option for travelling in, too.

Shop linen co-ords

A relaxed fit, straight leg and elasticated waist make these linen-blend trousers a flattering and comfortable choice for heatwave dressing. They're available in a range of colours, but this versatile neutral hue can be paired with the matching Nobody's Child stone swing top for a co-ord style.

This linen shirt is one of Uniqlo's bestsellers, and it's easy to see why. Available in a range of hues, it's cut to a relaxed fit for an airy finish. For a co-ord style, try pairing it with Uniqlo's linen blend easy trousers.

This 2-in-1 set from Free People is made from a 'billowy' linen blend that they say is both 'comfy' and 'lightweight.' Adjustable straps make playing around with the neckline easy, while the cropped, wide-leg fit of the trousers keeps everything feeling relaxed and effortless in the heat.

How to style a co-ord Like Ruth

Ruth's white sandals are a super versatile style, and this similar pair is a serious contender for the most comfortable sandals. Like Ruth, wear them with all-white outfits or use them as a neutral, understated accessory for bolder looks.

Raffia is a perfect summer texture, and it's elevated tenfold by the luxe, tan leather accents on this Boden crossbody bag. A handy buckle strap keeps everything secure in this practical-sized bag.

These gold wedge sandals boast real leather straps in a smooth fabric that contrasts with the classic jute wedge sole of the espadrille style. They're perfect for creating, as Ruth calls it, 'posh lunch looks', while they also work for elevated everyday wear.

Ruth's co-ord offers multiple styling options, from her more relaxed, “casual holiday” look to what she calls her “posh lunch” outfit. Changing up her breathable co-ord, she shows that you only need to play around with your accessories and make some simple styling choices to totally transform the look.

For a casual finish, she added a pair of white flatform sandals and a tan crossbody bag. Then, to give it a more elevated feel for her “posh” look, she swapped out her white blouse for a “silky print shirt” and added some gold wedge espadrilles, which gave the co-ord an almost unrecognisable twist and made it the perfect formula to rely on for date night outfits.

Finally, Ruth created a “relaxed” daytime ensemble with the white blouse of her co-ord. This time, she paired it with some blue jeans, a tan belt and a pair of matching wedges. A raffia bag was the perfect accessory to bring in some summer-ready texture, while the luxe leather accents of her shoes and belt worked hard to elevate the simple ‘jeans and nice top’ look.
