Ruth Langsford opened up on her sarcastic nickname for husband Eamonn Holmes, who she has been married to since 2010, during her hosting stint on Loose Women on Wednesday.
The panelists, who also included Janet Street Porter, Kelle Bryan, and Saturdays star Frankie Bridge, were discussing a recent remark made by Monty Don.
The gardening expert said neat lawns are "a symbol of male control" and encouraged people to let their grass grow freely.
Ruth said: "I screenshotted it and sent it to Eamonn, and he'll be fuming because he loves his stripy lawn.
"What is it with sheds and lawns? When they get to 45 or 50 they suddenly become obsessed with the lawn.
"Eamonn wasn't like that when I met him, we call him the lawn police," she laughed.

"I used to stand at the kitchen window with Jack and say 'look, the lawn police are out'.
"He walks with his hands behind his back going 'hmm look at this', and it's really strange isn't it? They get this obsession."
Frankie, who is married to footballer Wayne Bridge, replied: "Yeah I know!

"You're saying 45 to 50 but Wayne just turned 40, well he'll be 41 this year, and he is obsessed, he's got this sit-on lawn mower.
"Look, I'm sure it's just to get away from the family!" she added.
"He puts his head phones in and goes out there for hours. We had just got back from a holiday and he went straight out to the lawn, that was the most important thing.

She joked: "I'm eight years younger than him - this is not what I signed up for, I am too young for this!"
One viewer tweeted: "Oh like @ FrankieBridge my husbands first thought on returning from hol is to cut the lawn, BUT even worse HE INSISTS ON CUTTING IT IN THE LAST FEW HRS BEFORE WE SET OFF whilst I’m doing a million other relevant jobs".
Another wrote: @ RuthieeL I can just imagine Eamonn doing that!!! ... We had our lawn changed to AstroTurf last year. What does that say about us?xx".
A third added: "im female and obsessed with taking care of the lawn...i too put stripes in it. Its not just a man thing".
