Ruth Langsford says the door is open for her to work with husband Eamonn Holmes again despite him moving to GB News.
The pair presented This Morning together before Eamonn went to the fledgling channel to host the breakfast show with Isabel Webster. His first show was on Monday.
Speaking about the move, Ruth said: “I’m thrilled - it’s what he does best. He’s always been very entertaining on This Morning - Eamonn can turn his hand to anything, just look at his CV! But he’s a total news junkie. I’m very proud of him.
"Yes, no more This Morning together - but it doesn’t mean there aren’t other projects we can do together in future. I’m still at ITV, with This Morning and Loose Women. This is a new chapter, but that’s exciting.”

Eamonn previously admitted he “didn’t sleep a wink” after his first breakfast show.
The 62-year-old’s admission came after he revealed his battle with insomnia in the days leading up to his debut on the channel.
But Ruth said that his early starts didn’t bother her.
She told Best: I’m up early - I’ll only be out the door an hour after him. But Eamonn is very considerate, actually. All the years he worked at GMTV and then Sky, I was rarely woken by him.
"The only time would be if he’d overslept - rare, and I’d hear ‘Christ, almighty!’ as he jumped out of bed. Other than that, he’s like a little mouse. He’s normally put his suit out the night before - and I sleep like a log.”
Addressing his return to early starts, Eamonn told viewers this week: “We are coming to the end of our first day - and hopefully not our last day of the GB News breakfast show. A new look.”
Closing the programme, he quipped: “I need to make a long-term plan about how to get up in the morning. I didn’t sleep a wink last night.

“My kids brought me a fancy alarm clock that went off and then I couldn’t turn it off.”
The TV presenter and journalist was a regular fixture on This Morning for 15 years. He had previously hosted ITV’s breakfast show GMTV from 1993 to 2005 and Sky News’ Sunrise from 2005 until 2016.
Speaking last week Eamonn told of his sleep woes and pledged to eat healthier to try and fix the issue.
He said: “The early starts do take their toll. The evenings can be a bit more difficult. My big dread about what’s ahead is insomnia and what feels like a ‘sleep hangover’ the next day. With 26 years of breakfast television under my belt, I’ve had more than a few of those.
"This time round, my big New Year resolution is to Beat the Sleep. In other words, I am determined that this time round I will treat myself with more kindness, and make sure that I try to commit to a routine that ensures I will get enough rest and recuperation, eating well and moving more, so that I feel energised and ready for the challenges ahead.
"Project Sleep will be my priority. Get that right, and everything else should fall in place.”
