Ruth Langsford returned to This Morning on Friday, having missed the episode a week earlier due to illness.
Her husband Eamonn Holmes hosted the show with Rochelle Humes last Friday after confirming Ruth was under the weather.
He ruled out specific symptoms after viewers questioned if she had come down with the coronavirus, as he explained why she was forced to pull out.
As This Morning returned live on Friday, Eamonn encouraged people to stay indoors and sit down and watch them, as many continued to self-isolate.
Ruth said she hoped to bring "light relief" to fans watching at home, while her own birthday celebrations in Italy were forced to be cancelled - with her also not allowed a party because of the new advice and restrictions surrounding coronavirus.

Viewers took to Twitter to wish her a happy birthday, with one commenting: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH! You share your birthday with my partner Mickey."
Another said: "Happy birthday Ruth I know the feeling it was my 50th in the 17th."
Eamonn also surprised his wife with a live performance on the show from The Shires, who sang her Happy Birthday.
This Morning was hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield all this week, while Ruth and Eamonn normally host the Friday episode.

Phillip had shared uncertainty over whether the show could continue live from the studio this week amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The UK has now soared past 3,000 positive cases, while 144 deaths have also been reported.
Speaking about several TV shows and productions being halted this week due to fears over the virus spreading, Phillip revealed their own worry.
EastEnders, Casualty and Holby City have all suspended filming, while Coronation Street and Emmerdale continue for now.

Phillip said This Morning was "holding on by the skin of their teeth" to carry on due to reduction in staff, and ensuring safety.
But the hosts vowed to continue for as long as they could, with Ruth and Eamonn in the studio for the last episode of the week.
*This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
