Ruth Langsford pulls out of hosting This Morning after feeling unwell

Ruth Langsford has pulled out of This Morning hosting duties today after feeling unwell.

Her husband Eamonn Holmes broke the news today on social media, saying Ruth, 59, felt “a bit under the weather”.

Friday is the couple’s regular slot where they take the reins from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who front the ITV show Monday to Thursday.

In the Instagram post, Eamonn, 60, explained that Rochelle Hulmes, 30, will take Ruth’s place on the sofa.

He said: “In 4 Ruth. The Bad News is Ruth a bit under the weather today.

“The Good news is Rochelle and I will pair up again.

“A delightful friend and colleague and Always a joy to be around.”

Along with the message, Eamonn posted a photo of himself and The Saturdays singer, who is one of the programme’s regular presenters.

While no more information has been released about Ruth’s illness, concerned fans replied to the post with well wishes for Ruth.

One said: “Ah miss Ruth, get well soon. Love Eamonn and Rochelle is fabulous.”

A second posted: “Good morning Eamon. Hope Ruth feels better soon.”

A third said: “Aw sorry to hear this. I will miss her today. Love you guys. Send her my love.”

Another added: “Oh dear get well soon Ruth sending you lots of love.”
