Ruth Langsford marks her territory before Holly Willoughby's This Morning return

Ruth Langsford marked her territory on the This Morning set on Tuesday's show.

The ITV favourite and her husband Eamonn Holmes, both 60, have been fronting the daytime series - alongside other hosts - whilst usual presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby enjoyed some time off.

And on today's episode Ruth and Eamonn took part in a segment that showcased different ideas on labelling school uniforms, lunch boxes and stationery.

Following the how-to tutorial Ruth - who was taken in by all the different stickers, pens and stamps - was handed a pack of stickers with her moniker printed on.

She then peeled one of the sticky sheets off and pressed the label onto the iPad she was using.

Ruth said: "This is mine, isn't it?"

Eamonn then queried what Holly would say when she returns to the show on September 1, as he joked: "Oh Holly will like that!"

Ruth continued to fix the sticker to the electronic tablet and told Eamonn that Holly would understand and would not mind.

Holly and Phil are due to return to This Morning next week.

The giggly duo have been off our screens since early July, when they took a well-earned break after appearing in the studio throughout the start of the pandemic, standing two metres apart from one another.

Although the pair have worked side-by-side for over 11 years now, Holly recently fueled split rumours from her TV hubby Schofe.

Speculation was rife after ITV's darling presenter, 39, quit the A-list showbiz agency YMU they both share last week.

Holly will manage herself from now on, via her company Roxy Management, in a huge change for her high-flying presenting career.

The telly star wanted to be able to take more control and improve her “work-life balance”.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
