Actress Liz Hurley has given This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes tips to cure his back pain.
Eamonn’s wife Ruth Langsford, 60, revealed how 54-year-old Liz had advised her husband to do squats while he was brushing his teeth.
She said: “Every morning Eamonn wakes up, he has another woman on his mind – Elizabeth Hurley.
“Eamonn and Liz met at a recent lunch, and now he is literally bending over backwards for her.
"Comparing notes about backache, Liz has convinced him that a really effective way of strengthening his lower back was to squat while brushing his teeth.
“Carried out repeatedly, day after day, she says it has helped her tremendously. Good job it’s only me who can see what he looks like as he does this.”
Eamonn, 60, had a double hip replacement in 2016 after suffering debilitating pain for 25 years.
Before his operation Eamonn joked that he “was not very optimistic” of his chances of survival.
But after the successful procedure, he woke up thinking Ruth was an angel.
He said at the time: “Ruth’s face was the first thing I saw. I said, ‘If this is Heaven, you’re the angel that I want’.”
Eamonn took 10 weeks off to recover from the surgery.
Following the operation, he encouraged those in a similar situation to not fear the procedure.
He said: “Obviously I'd prefer not to be going through what I'm going through but for anyone who's facing this or has this ahead of them, these people know what they are doing.
"They have got these operations so finely tuned now and the technology is so advanced, so you've nothing to worry about.
“Yes, it will hurt a bit but it'll be better than the pain you were in previously.”
He had been warned he would need a double hip replacement when he was just 36, but had put it off to focus on his career.
