Ruth Langsford has revealed her beloved mum Joan has been left "battered and bruised" following a fall.
This Morning star Ruth usually spends Sundays with her mum cooking a roast and drinking sherry.
But this weekend they were forced to shelve their usual plans after Joan's incident.

Ruth shared a video of her mum to Instagram as she visited her in the care home where she lives - reports Birmingham Live.
She explained that Joan hadn't broken anything but had to use a walking frame to get around following the accident.
Ruth said: "Sadly no Mum for Sunday lunch today… she’s had a fall.
“Nothing broken thank goodness but quite battered & bruised poor love.
“She needs a walking frame to get around at the moment and is still in some pain but typical Mum…stoic and cheerful as ever.
“Maggie giving her some healing love.”
Ruth’s followers immediately rushed to support her following the bad news.
This Morning chef Juliet Sear commented: “Hope she recovered well soon, lovely to have a Maggie (and Ruth!) visit!”
The show’s beauty expert Sarah Jossel added: “Sending so much love.”
Izzi Warner said: "Aww bless hope she’s back to herself soon."
Emma Forbes said: " Oh your poor mum sending love and hope she’s back dancing in the kitchen soon xx."
Lizzie Cundy said: "Hope mum is feeling better darling."
And Dr Rahul Mandal said: "Hope she feels better soon."
