Ruth Langsford confuses Bradley Cooper for Bradley Walsh during A Star Is Born chat

Ruth Langsford was left blushing as she confused Bradley Cooper for Bradley Walsh during a chat on This Morning.

Langsford was left fumbling to correct herself after mixing up the A Star is Born actor and director with Walsh, who is best known for The Chase.

Chatting to showbiz reporter Sam Rubin via live link, Langsford said: “Everybody’s been talking about Lady Gaga and Bradley Walsh at the moment. But there is going to be a remake of it, already, of this film?”

Beside her, Eamonn Holmes looked baffled by what his wife had just said before Langsford gasped, realising her mistake.

“Oh, did I say Bradley Walsh? I'm so sorry,” the presenter blurted out as she began to laugh.

The hit film – which managed to clean up in awards season with its song Shallow – is set to air 12 additional minutes of unseen footage in cinemas for one week only, according to reports in the US. It will feature a new song, Clover, although it is unclear if it will ever be shown in the UK.

Lady Gaga – who plays aspiring musician Ally – and Cooper – who stars as troubled star Jackson Maine – hit the headlines last week with romance rumours after they got close during a duet at the Oscars .

The pair left fans feeling “uncomfortable” for Cooper’s girlfriend Irina Shayk as they nuzzled in close to sing while sitting at the grand piano in Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre.

However, Gaga was quick to set the record straight on Jimmy Kimmel’s self-titled show as she said it was their “job” to make it a “love song” .

She said: “People saw love, and guess what, that's what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, the movie is a love story,” calling social media the “toilet of the Internet”.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
