Ruth Langsford appeared to make a pointed remark about her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes during a Loose Women panel discussion on how involved partners should be in one another’s health.
On Monday’s episode, which also featured Myleene Klass, Brenda Edwards and Sue Cleaver, one of the talking points was former Prime Minister David Cameron’s revelation that he had been treated for prostate cancer.
Mr Cameron said he sought medical tests after his wife Samantha encouraged him to do so, sparking a wider debate about the role of partners in prompting each other to address health concerns.
Klass argued that men often benefit from being married because they are more likely to be pushed into seeking medical help. “It’s a well-known fact that men live longer when they’re married,” she said, adding that women “live longer when they aren’t”.
As the studio audience reacted, the camera cut to Langsford, who smirked before replying: “Good to know.”

The remark, delivered with a raised eyebrow, drew laughter from her fellow panellists and immediate speculation online.
Viewers suggested the comment may have been aimed at Holmes, from whom she separated in 2024 after more than two decades together.
The former couple had previously been regarded as one of television’s most enduring partnerships, co-hosting ITV’s This Morning for many years before stepping back from their regular slot in 2020. They married in 2010 after a long relationship that began in the late 1990s.
Although they have largely kept details of their separation private, the former couple still co-share their rescue dog, Maggie, and have occasionally made barbed on-air or online remarks that viewers have interpreted as digs at one another. Monday’s “Good to know” quickly became the latest moment added to that list.
Holmes has since moved on with new partner Katie Alexander, and his personal life has continued to draw attention in part due to his ongoing health issues.
He has spoken candidly about suffering chronic back pain, nerve damage and mobility problems that have required multiple operations and have at times left him dependent on a wheelchair.
Langsford has largely avoided discussing the separation publicly, focusing instead on her work and maintaining a low profile outside of Loose Women. That quiet approach is partly why her on-air reaction resonated so strongly, with viewers quickly sharing clips of the exchange across social media.
After the moment passed, the conversation moved back to the broader issue of early diagnosis, with the panel urging viewers to pay attention to changes in their health and not delay seeking medical advice.
