Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes to make This Morning return after fans outrage

Ruth Langsford has confirmed that she and Eamonn Holmes WILL be returning to This Morning next month.

The husband and wife presenting duo will front the ITV daytime hit for seven weeks over the summer.

It comes after outraged fans of the pair complained when Ruth and Eamonn didn't present This Morning earlier this month for half-term.

The couple were dropped from their Friday This Morning at the start of this year in place of Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary and it was revealed they'd only present the show during school holidays.

But fans can look forward to nearly two months of seeing the pair on-screen.

Ruth, 61, told OK! Magazine : "We’ll be doing seven weeks from July. I’m looking forward to it."

When asked if she has spoken to co-stars Alison and Dermot, Ruth replied: "Yeah. I speak to Alison all the time. She's a friend of mine."

Last month, fans were demanding answers a day after it was announced Ruth and Eamonn wouldn't be hosting in place of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over half-term at the start of June.

Ruth has still been appearing on Loose Women (ITV)

"Excuse me what happened to Eamon and Ruth next week for half term? #ThisMorning," one said on Tuesday.

Another raged: "WHY ARE EAMON & RUTH NOT PRESENTING? #ThisMorning."

"We want Eamonn and Ruth next week, they usually do the holidays hope they are okay #ThisMorning," a third concerned fan asked.

Ruth also spoke to OK! about how she and Eammon separate their marriage from their working relationship.

"I leave my job at the door because it's just my job," the Loose Women star said. "I love it, but it’s not my life. I don't discuss work at home."
