Ruth Langsford has admitted that she felt quite upset about some comments her husband Eamonn Holmes made recently.
Eamonn recently announced that he was quitting This Morning to take on a new role at GB News, despite hosting the ITV show with his wife Ruth.
The 61-year-old presenter was keen to mention her husband's recent career move as she hosted Tuesday's Loose Women alongside Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford.
"Now a lot of you will know that Eamonn started his new job this week and because of that he's been giving a lot of interviews, like you do, and people have asked about his health because he's had a really rough year this year," Ruth said.

She was, of course, referring to Eamonn's ongoing back problems including "bulging discs" which resulted in him needing to use a walking stick.
Ruth continued: "He said in this interview, which actually made me feel a bit sad, he said, 'I think my family are fed up with me now, the kids are a bit embarrassed about how I move around or don't move around and Ruth's getting a bit fed up with me'.

"And I thought, 'well I am and I'm not'. It's human, you can't help that when you're helping somebody all the time and they're very incapacitated, it's hard to be Florence Nightingale all the time, and not sometimes roll your eyes," Ruth added.
"And it did make me think, it's very difficult when someone has some sort of chronic condition, which impacts their mobility, it impacts everybody and people around you."
Ruth went on to reveal that Eamonn has given her the nickname 'Nurse Ratched' referring to the character from the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
