Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones is reportedly considering appearing in a second series of Celebrity Traitors.
The first UK celebrity edition starring the likes of Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns has proved to be a huge hit with viewers and wraps up with a dramatic final next Thursday.
BBC bosses are said to be feeling bolstered by the series’ success and have already started approaching potential contestants for next year, although a second series has yet to be officially confirmed.
“Ruth is one of the names in the frame and she's been approached about taking part,” a source told The Sun.
“Given the stellar names they secured for series one, the next instalment has to be just as impressive. Ruth would be an incredible addition to the cast if she can fit it into her schedule.”
The 59-year-old Welsh actress, who played Nessa Jenkins in Gavin and Stacey, reportedly has one major condition if she were to take part.

An insider claimed she has no interest in being a Traitor on the show, saying: “Ruth would only consider taking part on the proviso she would be a Faithful.”
The Standard has contacted Jones’ representative for comment. The BBC has declined to comment.
EastEnders star Danny Dyer recently revealed he would consider going on Celebrity Traitors “if the money’s right” after being impressed by the current series.
“They did sniff around me about it. It was a 'no' from me because for one I hadn't seen it, but now I'm into it,” he said on his Live and Let Dyer podcast.
“If you're going to do it, if you're famous, it needs to be an indulgence project — you have to love the game.
“It's quite a simple game, I thought it was too complicated but it's actually just about manipulating people and a lot of lying. If the money's right, I might get involved in the next series.”

The current series of Celebrity Traitors amped up once again this week as two more celebrity Faithfuls left the game.
TV presenter Kate Garraway was banished at the roundtable after receiving the most votes.
Her exit came after comedian Carr “murdered” actress Celia Imrie in plain sight after being tasked with making a toast and saying “Parting is such sweet sorrow”, followed by the victim’s name.
Contestants were shocked when Imrie did not turn up at breakfast, with the actress saying she was killed off because she was “brave enough to get the one Traitor out” – referring to presenter Jonathan Ross’ banishment the night before.
At the end of Thursday’s episode, the contestants were lured outside to a campfire where they met host Claudia Winkleman who declared that Carr, singer Cat Burns, former rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Nick Mohammed, and historian David Olusoga were the series finalists.
