Russo Brothers pit Thanos against Night King, fans call it Endgame of Thrones

Game of Thrones villain Night King and Avengers Endgame’s mad Titan Thanos face each other in this fan art.

As fans of Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame come to terms with happenings in their respective universes, the Russo Brothers dropped a new bomb on social media. Sharing a fan art pitting Thanos and the Night King, the makers of the Marvel movie opened the platform for a new war, leaving the fans in frenzy.

The Russo Brothers (Joseph Russo and Anthony Russo) shared the fan picture on their Instagram account with the caption, “Whoever created this...it’s awesome. #WeWannaSeeThisFight EDIT: Major props to @cole —incredible!” The picture shows Thanos standing with his double-edged sword while facing the Night King who has his spear in front of him. A mountain-like fort is seen in the background while the mind stone on Thanos’ gauntlet sparkles amid flying sparks.

This was enough for the millions of fans of the most popular film and TV show to go berserk. Venezuelan actor María Gabriela de Faría was among the first ones to register her surprise and wrote in reply to the post, “Cried my eyes out yesterday because of Thanos and I’m not ready for the Night King tonight. What a weekend for our beloved characters!”

While many hailed the two characters and the makers behind the,, several came up with their suggestions on what they could name the new project. A fan called them, “The two best vilains of the decade” while a viewer came up with the project name, “Endgame of thrones”.

Some went ahead and wondered what could be the outcome of such a clash. A fan commented to the picture, “Thanos is obviously gonna win cause he has the gauntlet. He can just snap the other guy away.” Another wrote, “Thanos would use true reality stone and turn him into a beach bum.” But one user raised a question for the other fans, “Everyone thinks Thanos is going to win. But does he have the dragon glass?”

Avengers: Endgame opened in India on Friday to a massive opening of Rs 53 crore and went on to collect around Rs 186 crore gross during the weekend. The third episode of Game of Thrones season 8 aired on Monday morning and trended on social media with viewers talking about the Battle of Winterfell.
