Russian MP caught on camera offering to send missiles to Ukrainian boy for Christmas

A sick Russian MP has been caught on camera offering to send missiles for Christmas to a boy from Kyiv.

Hardliner Oleg Nilov was at a charity event at the Russian parliament when he read out seasonal wishes from children which were hanging on a Christmas tree.

The pro-war politician picked a card off the tree and read: “A boy Vova from Kyiv is dreaming about missiles.”

The video shows him smirking and promising: “Vova, you'll get missiles…”

One watching MP, Artyom Metelev, covers his face with his hand at the vile remark.

Nilov tried to row back from what seemed like a pre-planned stunt and said: “Wait, it’s a joke, of course.”

Vova is the short name for Volodymyr and the “joke” was presumably aimed at Ukrainian president Volodrmyr Zelensky - despite the annual event being to help children.

Another MP Yaroslav Nilov - no relation and deputy head of the parliament’s ethics committee - blasted the politician for his remark on sending missiles to a child.

"The video shows that it was not the boy Vova who wrote this but Oleg[Nilov] decided just to ‘joke’,” he said.

“But the ‘joke’ turned out to be unfunny and inappropriate.

“Children in Russia and Ukraine are not guilty of anything and bear no responsibility in connection with what is now happening between our countries.”

The offensive MP, aged 60, is deputy head of the pro-Putin Just Russia faction.

He was a key mover behind laws enabling Russia's mobilisation of 300,000-plus additional troops for Putin's army.

Earlier The Mirror reported how Russia warned the West by readying a monster Yars strategic missile for combat - as a prominent pro-Putin MP and military expert called for a direct attack on London.

New footage shows the emplacement in an underground shaft at the Kozelsky compound, 160 miles southwest of Moscow.

A day earlier another nuclear-capable lethal Yars missile was loaded into its silo at the site.

Vladimir Putin was seen in late October overseeing the launch of a similar Yars nuclear missile on a mock attack on Britain and the US amid high tension in the war with Ukraine.

The latest video was released by Russia ’s defence ministry as a leading pro-Putin MP and military expert openly threatened London - the “hotbed of all nastiness” - with a missile attack.

Russia is building up to more nuclear showboating as it marks the annual Strategic Missile Forces Day on December 17.

The Yars intercontinental ballistic missile with a 7,500 mile range - capable of reaching Britain and the US - was installed in a silo launch pad using a special transport and loading unit.

Retired Lt-Gen Andrey Gurulev told viewers on a Russian state TV propaganda show that he has for four months advocated a missile onslaught on Britain.
