CHON BURI: A Russian tourist was stripped of a gold necklace by two overly friendly transvestites while strolling along Pattaya beach late on Sunday night.

About 11.30pm, Vadim Korni Iashchenko, 31, filed a complaint with Pattaya police that while he was walking on the beachside path he was approached by two scantily clad transvestites who offered him sex services.

He turned down the offer and tried to walk away. The two kept clinging to him for a while before leaving.

He found later that his 18k gold necklace, worth about 120,000 baht, had been stolen.

About the same time, Sekar Mohandoss, 29, an Indian national, filed a complaint with Pattaya police that he met a Thai woman at Pattaya beach and they had sex at al hotel. After the woman left, he found that his Huawei mobile phone, worth about 18,400 baht, had disappeared. He suspected it had been stolen by the woman.

Police accepted their complaints for further action.
