This is the moment a boxer knocked out his opponent with an illegal head kick, for which he is now facing a lifetime ban from the sport.
Undefeated Russian MMA fighter Idris Abdurashidov was making his debut as a boxer, taking on unbeaten super lightweight boxer Bagher Faraji from Iran.
Faraji was reportedly on course for points victory as the fight entered the fourth and final round at the Ali Boxing Club in Phuket, Thailand, only for Abdurashidov to unleash a vicious kick to the head to knock the Iranian out.
Abdurashidov, whose nickname in MMA is ‘Aggressor’, was immediately disqualified as medics rushed into the ring to help Faraji, but it did not stop the Russian from gloating about the kick on social media after the fight.

"So [I] debuted in professional boxing," he posted on Instagram. "And disqualification for life, I threw out that kick with a machine gun!"
Abdurashidov also posted video footage of the incident. A punishment is yet to be confirmed, and it remains to be seen if the Russian’s MMA career will also be affected.
