Russian 738 jet crashes on approach to Rostov-on-Don airport, killing all on board

A Boeing 738 passenger jet crashed as it was landing at the Rostov-on-Don airport in southern Russia, it has been reported. It was reportedly a FlyDubai jet en route from Dubai.

It is thought that all the people on board died in the crash, with the number reported dead as high as 62.

Emergency services were quoted as saying the plane may have missed the runway due to poor visibility in heavy rain.

The airport is near the city Rostov-on-Don, about 72 miles east of the border with Ukraine.
