The world has watched in horror over the past few days as Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.
This morning Russian military forces fired missiles at several Ukrainian cities and landed troops on its south coast, and war broke at 4:35am.
Already, Ukrainian civilians have been killed and many are fleeing the nation's cities as neighbouring countries including Poland prepare beds for those wounded at war.
The UK announced sanctions against five Russian banks and three billionaires on Monday, with more wide-reaching sanctions expected later today.
In an address to the nation, Boris Johnson said: "Today in concert with our allies we will agree a massive package of economic sanctions designed in time to hobble the Russian economy."
And the Prime Minister warned that military action against Russia was a last resort.
He announced: "Our mission is clear: Diplomatically, politically, economically – and eventually, militarily – this hideous and barbaric venture of Vladimir Putin must end in failure."
With the possibility of British troops being sent to Ukraine being potentially on the cards, we want to hear your views.
