A maternity hospital was attacked by a Russian airstrike sparking outrage across the globe.
President Volodymyr Zelensky told of his horror as children were left under the wreckage in the attack.
He tweeted: “Direct strike of Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage. Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror? Close the sky right now! Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity.”
In the wake of the attack, Boris Johnson has pledged to hold Vladimir Putin account for his “terrible crimes” after a maternity hospital was targeted.
Foreign secretary Liz Truss called the attack “absolutely abhorrent”.
