Russia strikes Ukraine’s main government building for first time

  • Kyiv's main government building was struck during an overnight Russian attack on Sunday, marking the first time the building has been hit in the conflict.
  • The assault involved over 800 drones and missiles, causing damage to the roof and upper floors of the Cabinet of Ministers building, as confirmed by Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
  • In addition to the government building, a warehouse, a 16-storey residential block, and a four-storey building were also hit during the extensive attack.
  • The widespread strikes resulted in the deaths of two people, including a one-year-old child, and left 15 others injured.
