Russia release terrifying high quality drone footage of Damascus devastation

High quality footage has emerged of Russia's involvement in Syria after video was released of a tank battle in Damascus.

In what at first seems like an advert for a video game, pumping music soundtracks images of devastation in the capital's district of Jobar.

Impressively high definition drones capture tank warfare as well as wider dereliction brought about by the civil war.

The ruined district of Damascus has been a flashpoint for clashes between rebels and the Syrian Army.

Since Russia began air strikes, Syrian government forces have attempted to retake Jobar with Moscow's support.

Allegedly, RussiaWorks have previously been used to increase support for foreign intervention. As Boris Zilberman, a Russia expert at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, told the Business Insider:

"RussiaWorks is part of a slick campaign by the Kremlin to sell the war at home and project Russia as a military power."

The Russian Ministry of Defence recently reported that 33 air strikes had destroyed 49 Isis targets within 24 hours.
