Russia Postpones Soccer Match Against Paraguay After Terrorist Attack

Russia postpones soccer match against Paraguay after terrorist attack near Moscow.

Russia has decided to postpone an international soccer friendly match against Paraguay in light of the recent terrorist attack near Moscow, as announced by the Russian Football Union (RFU) on Saturday.

The president of the RFU, Alexander Dyukov, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident at Crocus City Hall, extending heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

The match, originally scheduled for March, will be rescheduled to a later date. However, due to FIFA's window ending on Tuesday, the national team players will need to return to their clubs, prompting the delay.

Furthermore, all matches in the RFU's competitions for the weekend have been postponed following the terrorist attacks.

It is important to note that Russia's international and club teams are currently prohibited from participating in any FIFA or UEFA-sanctioned soccer matches due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Nevertheless, the international team is permitted to engage in friendly matches against other nations.
