Count Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson as someone who wasn’t rooting for Tom Brady during “The Match” on Sunday.
Prior to the event, Wilson posted a video of Tom Brady’s face on Shooter McGavin’s body. McGavin, a character in the movie “Happy Gilmore” is undoubtedly the bad guy in the film.
It’s easy to see why Wilson playfully swipes at Brady here. There is no love lost between the two quarterbacks. We all remember what happened in Super Bowl XLIX. It’s no surprise that Wilson was playfully rooting against Brady, as these two certainly have faced each other in some big moments.
With Brady losing on Sunday, Wilson may have gotten the last laugh. In what was a great day of golf, this match brought out the competitive spirit in everybody.
