Russell Wilson tied for 3rd-most TD passes in first 8 years in NFL

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson just continues his winning ways, leading his team to victory Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. Seattle is now 4-0 on the road to start the season for the first time since 1980 and only the second time in franchise history.

Wilson impressed on Sunday, finishing the day completing 14 of 20 passes attempted for 182 yards and two touchdowns – both on targets to rookie wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. He also managed four carries for four yards on the ground.

After the scores in Atlanta, Wilson has now tied Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre for the third-most touchdown passes in a player’s first eight seasons in the league at 213.

Wilson’s only interception of the year came last week in the loss to Baltimore. Following a less-than-stellar outing against the Ravens, Wilson rebounded quickly to beat the Falcons and continue his bid for this year’s Most Valuable Player.

He’ll get his next shot Week 9 when Tampa Bay comes to town.
