Russell Wilson recently became the NFL’s highest-paid player with a four-year, $140 million contract (and a $65 million signing bonus). A contract like that gave the Seattle Seahawks quarterback some room to go big with this year’s Mother’s Day gift.
And that he did.
He surprised his mother, Tammy, with a new house.
Wilson posted the video to Instagram on Sunday, wishing his mom a happy Mother’s Day and sharing Tammy’s shocked reaction. She didn’t believe at first that the house was for her because, well, that’s a massive gift for Mother’s Day.
But it was her house, and let’s just say that she was thrilled.
Wilson wrote:
All these years you have never asked me for anything… only thing you ever wanted is for me to LOVE. Well thanks for loving us the way you do. This ones for you. I love you momma.
This really makes all of our Mother’s Day cards seem inadequate. Thanks, Russ.
