Russell Wilson, Seahawks fool Philly with trick-play TD

The Philadelphia Eagles have their lone Super Bowl championship, in part, thanks to a trick play. Now, they have been the victims of trickeration for the second straight week.

Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson fooled the Eagles Sunday at the Linc. The quarterback handed off to Chris Carson, who threw a backward pass to Wilson. The QB then looked deep and found Malik Turner for a 33-yard score in the first quarter.

A week ago, the Patriots had Julian Edelman throw a TD pass, off a backward pass from Tom Brady, to Phillip Dorsett in New England’s 17-10 road victory.

Of course, fans in the City of Brotherly Love will never forget the “Philly Special,” which saw Nick Foles catch a TD pass from Trey Burton in Super Bowl LII against New England.

Sometimes, you get the treat and and other times you get tricked.
