Russell Wilson partners with Wheels Up to help feed those in need

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, R&B superstar Ciara, are partnering with aviation start-up company Wheels Up to help provide meals to Feeding America, a nationwide hunger relief charity dedicated to helping 12 million American children get enough food.

Wilson pledged to donate $10 million meals to the initiative, which they are calling Meals Up.

Wilson tweeted an announcement about the partnership as well, providing a link to his followers so they can donate as well. One dollar, according to the website, helps provide 10 meals to families in need all around the country.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a lot of people out of work across the world, and Wilson and Ciara have already stepped up to help struggling families locally. The Seattle-area was one of the first places in the U.S. impacted by the coronavirus, and Wilson’s immediate philanthropy has helped thousands of local citizens.

Now, he is taking his efforts nationwide, and there is little doubt he will continue to be a pillar of generosity and positivity while we wade through this crisis.
