Russell Wilson did a ‘trust throw’ workout with Drew Brees and it was incredibly cool

Being an NFL quarterback isn’t just about having arm strength and accuracy, though those are both obviously huge factors in it.

Another skill is anticipation and it’s even harder to develop. Quarterbacks have to know where a receiver is going to be at the end of their route and, at times, they have to throw them open.

This is something Drew Bress was an absolute master at during his time with the Saints. So, clearly, it’d do Russell Wilson well to train with him on it — though, he’s already pretty good at it himself.

The two got together for a ‘trust throw’ training session where Brees recorded Wilson throwing a football to a receiver who was running behind a birthday tent.

Wilson couldn’t see him running behind the tent — he just knew where he was supposed to be. And three times in a row he threw absolute dimes to the receiver.

This was awesome.

Just all-around impressive work from Wilson. This should get Seahawks fans excited for next year — if he’s there, that is.
