Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, R&B superstar Ciara, showed off this year’s Halloween costumes on Twitter.
The dynamic duo dressed like another iconic celebrity couple: Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Wilson has certainly been more comfortable in the limelight in the last few years, expanding his brand through entrepreneurial endeavors and of course posting more on social media – most notably the announcement about his contract extension which came from his bed, wearing gold chains and next to his wife.
These extracurriculars have not impacted his performance on the field in any way however, as the 30-year-old is having the strongest season of his NFL career – posting a 17-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a league-leading 115.5 passer rating, putting him squarely in the conversation for an MVP award.
Wilson and Ciara will continue to make waves as one of the nation’s most recognizable celebrity couples, but Seahawks fans will likely accept their quarterback’s off the field persona as long as he continues to win them football games – starting in Week 9 against Tampa Bay.
