Russell Wilson challenges Seahawks fan to ‘Super Smash Bros.’ match

If you’re an active Twitter user, you’ve probably seen at least one of Cable Thanos’ videos about the Seattle Seahawks.

Cable Thanos, whose real name is Josh Cashman, gained a lot of traction over the 2018 season for posting videos about the Seahawks. He used memes, pictures and videos of the Seahawks set to music to celebrate big moments, or just to get fans fired up about the upcoming game.

The videos caught the attention of quarterback Russell Wilson, who gave Cashman a shout-out on his Twitter page late in the season.

Now, Wilson wants to do more than just shout him out. The quarterback posted a video on Tuesday challenging Cashman to a game of “Super Smash Bros.,” which is set to happen on Thursday.

In the video posted by Wilson, numerous references to Cashman’s old videos can be seen, as well as clips from the “Super Smash Bros.” game itself.

The use of a Nintendo Switch in the graphics could indicate the battle will be played on the newest version of the game, “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.”

Check out Wilson and Cashman’s Twitter accounts on Thursday for updates on how the battle turns out.
