Russell Wilson arrives at Seahawks’ facility for offseason workouts

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is in the midst of contract negotiations and has set today as the deadline to reach a new deal before talks cease until next offseason . . . or forever.

While there is no indication an agreement has been reached as of yet, Wilson has reported to the Seahawks practice facility – the Virginia Mason Athletic Center – as expected for the start of Seattle’s offseason workouts.

Wilson can be seen in a photo slideshow (No. 20 of 26) posted on the team’s website, documenting players’ arrivals.

Reports have suggested Wilson would show up for all of Seattle’s activities this spring, including minicamp and training camp, regardless of whether or not a new contract was in place.

Wilson and the Seahawks kick off Phase One of the nine-week program April 15, with the voluntary workouts limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only for the first two weeks.

According to a number of reports, the Seahawks have until midnight to ink Wilson to a new contract or he won’t be signing an extension this season.
