Russell Westbrook underwent surgery on his finger and right knee

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook reportedly underwent two separate surgeries on Tuesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Westbrook had a procedure on his finger to repair a torn ligament on his left hand while he also underwent a minor procedure on his right knee described as proactive maintenance.

The surgeries are not expected to impact his offseason training.

According to the report, Westbrook played the final six weeks of the season with a torn ligament in his fourth metacarpal. He was often seen with his finger heavily taped toward the end of the season.

Westbrook underwent surgery on his right knee last September that caused him to miss the first four games of the regular season. That procedure was also described as proactive maintenance.

While Westbrook underwent two procedures on Tuesday, teammate Paul George also had surgery to repair a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder. He is expected to miss the start of training camp.

George will also have a procedure soon on his left shoulder to repair a small tear in his labrum. The two injuries hampered George down the stretch and he missed four games as a result.
