Russell Westbrook was back home in front of the Oklahoma City crowd Wednesday night, just 48 hours after that ugly incident in Utah, and gave a young fan of his a moment he’ll never forget.
And the kid loved it.
First, Westbrook recorded his 26th triple-double of the year, as his 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists helped lead the Thunder past the Brooklyn Nets, 100-87.
Then, Westbrook had some fun with his home fans, as he’s known to do. He took off his big sneakers and tossed them to fans, including one little guy in full Thunder gear.
