Russell Westbrook taking in the WNBA season with other NBA stars

The NBA season may have concluded with the Toronto Raptors’ 114-110 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any basketball to watch.

On May 24, a month after the Oklahoma City Thunder were knocked out of the NBA Playoffs by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round, the WNBA season kicked off. Oklahoma City doesn’t have a team in the league — though there used to be a team about an hour and a half away in Tulsa — so Thunder star Russell Westbrook had to head west to Las Vegas in order to take in a game.

And he wasn’t the only standout point guard from the Western Conference in attendance for the New York Liberty-Las Vegas Aces game on Friday night.

Shortly after Westbrook was spotted with Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul, the pair was joined by Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

Of course, everyone was aware of the trio sitting courtside. Even Las Vegas guard Kelsey Plum had to swing by at halftime to say high.

And Plum made sure to bring her game for Westbrook and company, leading both teams with 19 points in the Aces’ 100-65 win.
