Russell Westbrook’s Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 ‘Cotton Shot’ shoes released

A new set of shoes has been added to the list of Jordan Brand releases in 2019 with the Why Not Zer0.2 ‘Cotton Shot’ being made available for consumers in select cities on Tuesday. Jordan’s newest release is inspired by Russell Westbrook’s personal history, as the Oklahoma City Thunder’s star guard expressed on his Facebook page:

My pops loved working with me on my mid-range game. Inspired by the lessons my OG taught me, the #WhyNot Zer0.2 “Cotton Shot” out now in select cities.

As Thunder fans know, the phrase “cotton shot” refers to Westbrook’s mid-range shot, which he learned from his father as a kid. Westbrook explained the origin to Grantland’s Kirk Goldsberry back in 2015:

My dad taught me that. It’s called that because of the cotton net at the park I grew up at. ‘All cotton’ is what my dad used to say. ‘All net.’ That cotton shot is all I practiced.’

Here’s a look at the new releases:
