Russell Martin has made two claims about Youssef Chermiti's Rangers transfer fee.
The striker joined the club on deadline day for a sum of £8million, which could rise to £10m with add-ons.
Chermiti failed to score during his two-year spell at Everton, sparking some concerns among the Ibrox faithful. Martin, however, thinks the Portugal under-21 international will be a 'brilliant' investment for Rangers.
He was recently asked about the price tag the club paid for Chermiti: "One, I'm not in charge of that, which is a beautiful thing to come out and say to you guys," replied Martin.

"The other thing is, it doesn't come into my thinking really. It's a long-term investment for the football club, I think it'll be a brilliant investment for the football club. I think he'll do extremely well for us.
"There won't be any expectation on him in here, I'm sure externally maybe that changes. But in here, the expectation is that he works as hard as he possibly can.
"He wants to learn, he wants to grow and he wants to help the team. I think he'll do really well for us."
Chermiti could make his Rangers debut against Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox this Saturday, alongside fellow transfer deadline day recruit Derek Cornelius.
