Russell Martin makes three changes for Rangers vs St Mirren with striker switch-up

Russell Martin has named his Rangers side to face St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox boss has made three changes to his starting XI for the trip to Paisley after defeat to Club Brugge in the Champions League in midweek.

Nasser Djiga misses out through suspension with Mohamed Diomande and Danilo dropped to the bench.

Jack Butland starts in goal with Max Aarons, John Souttar, Emmanuel Fernandez and Jayden Meghoma in defence.

Nico Raskin, Joe Rothwell and Lyall Cameron are in midfield with Oliver Antman, Djeidi Gassama and Thelo Aasgaard as the front three.

The team line appears to suggest Aasgaard will operate in an advanced role as the striker with Cyriel Dessers out through injury and Hamza Igamane on the bench.

Both sides are looking for their first wins in the league campaign this season.

Rangers have drawn with Motherwell and Dundee, with St Mirren defeated by Celtic on the opening weekend and then claiming a draw with Motherwell.
