Russell Martin has heaped praise on "under-the-radar" Lyall Cameron for his performance against Viktoria Plzen.
The Rangers summer signing started in midfield for last night's thumping Champions League qualifying win over the Czechs, his first start and just second competitive appearance since moving from Dundee.
He impressed with his contribution in the middle of the park as a Djeidi Gassama double and Cyriel Dessers penalty built up a strong cushion going into the second leg.
A free transfer from Dens Park, the 22-year-old is probably the lowest profile addition of the window and hasn't been as heralded as the others.
Manager Martin admits he goes under the radar but loved his performance and the qualities he brings in the engine room.

He said: "Lyall was fantastic. His energy helped the team a lot. He did exactly what we asked him to do and showed real moments of quality, just for his energy and his selfless willingness to run for the team was immense.
"I'm really pleased for him because we've obviously made a lot of signings and he's probably gone under the radar a little bit, but he's desperate to do well and desperate to learn.
"He has a lot of attributes; I've been really impressed with him. He hasn't played a lot in pre-season as he had a couple of niggly injuries, but he's going to really help us. We are going to need everyone.
"I've said this to the guys; I don't often see us going with the same 11 week in, week out, especially with European games. So everyone needs to be ready.
"The guys who played tonight made my mind up on Sunday morning, really, after recognising Saturday's performance needed something different.
"The guys trained Sunday morning like absolute beasts. Now tomorrow, the guys that were not in the team need to do the same. We need to live there all the time at this football club."
