Russell Henley WITB: What's In The Bag Of The Multiple Time PGA Tour Winner?

Russell Henley hits a driver and a close up of his golf bag.

Russell Henley is known as one of the PGA Tour's most consistent performers, with the American picking up five victories on the circuit over a decade.

Following on from his excellent golf, Henley is set to make his Ryder Cup debut in September 2025 and, below, we have taken a look at what clubs he has used to be a part of Team USA.

Driver

Beginning with the driver and, unlike the rest of the bag, this is the club that Henley seems to change most regularly, with the Titleist TSi3 the most recent model spotted in his hands at the 2025 Tour Championship.

It's a model that has been in his bag since 2022 but, in that time period, the American has also used the Titleist TSR2 and the newest model, the GT3, which sits in the middle of the GT range in terms of spin and forgiveness.

The latter was in the bag for Henley's Arnold Palmer Invitational victory in 2025, but he has opted to switch back to the TSi3 at the Tour Championship. In terms of lofts and shaft, Henley has a 10° head and a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 70 6.5 TX shaft.

Fairway Wood

Like the driver, Henley has opted for an older model of fairway wood, this time using the Titleist TS3, which was released all the way back in 2018.

The five-time PGA Tour winner has sometimes switched the TS3 out, though, using the GT3 during his Arnold Palmer Invitational win. However, as of the Tour Championship, he has the TS3 in the bag

One aspect to note is that Henley keeps his 3-wood at 16.5° in loft for both the TS3 and GT3, with the Titleist featuring a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 80 TX shaft.

There's a familiar theme throughout Henley's bag and that is older models of Titleist clubs. This is seen once again with the hybrid, which is the TSi2, a model released at the start of 2021.

Unlike the driver and fairway wood, which has been changed previously, this club has remained in the bag of the Presidents Cup player, with it featuring a more forgiving head than the TSi3.

Providing an inviting look at address, as well as a consistent, neutral flight, this club has a Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 100 TX shaft.

Irons

Moving away from the woods section of the bag and to the irons, where we find a mixed set of heads and shafts.

Using a Titleist T200 4-iron, the American has Titleist T100 irons, specifically the 2019 model, from 5-iron to 9-iron. Interestingly, he has True Temper Dynamic Gold AMT shafts in 4-iron to 6-iron, and True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400s in 7-iron to 9-iron.

The T100s have been in the bag for some time and, during that period, Henley has regularly ranked high up on the PGA Tour's Strokes Gained: Approach to Green statistics.

Wedges

In the scoring section of the bag, we find four wedges, specifically the Titleist Vokey SM10s, which are the most modern golf clubs in his bag and feature True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.

Ranked as one of the best golf wedges money can buy, Henley has a 48° that is bent to 47° (10F), a 50° bent to 51° (08F), a 54° bent to 55° (10S) and a 60° (04T).

As of writing, Henley ranks sixth in terms of Strokes Gained: Around the Green, with his wedges being his most dangerous weapon. Certainly, in our testing, we found the more centrally placed Center of Gravity, higher spin and lower launch enhanced the predictability and control.

Putter

The last club in Henley's bag is the putter, specifically the Scotty Cameron Phantom T5 Tour Prototype, a mallet-style model that has been used for numerous seasons.

Henley is a big fan of Scotty Cameron putters. Previously, he had the Phantom X12 Prototype for a long time, before moving to the Scotty Cameron Special Select Timeless Tour Prototype, a blade-style putter.

In terms of the Phantom T5 Tour Prototype, it has a compact mallet configuration and is constructed of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft grade aluminum.

Speaking after his Arnold Palmer Invitational win, Henley stated: "I got fitted with my putting coach, Phil Kenyon, and he was all about this putter, specifically the feel and the forgiveness. Those combined was a no-brainer."

Golf Ball

Golf ball wise, Henley has used the Titleist Pro V1x for the majority of his career, with it ranked as one of the best golf balls that money can buy.

Providing a firmer feel over its sibling, the Pro V1, the Pro V1x has fast and low spin numbers throughout the bag, with the incredible short game control remaining. What's more, it also provides a consistent and stable flight.

Apparel/Shoes

The final element of Henley's bag is his apparel and footwear, with the American wearing Dunning Golf clothing and the FootJoy Tour Alpha golf shoes.

Founded in 2001, Dunning Golf provides an array of different garments. As of writing, the brand is worn by PGA Tour winner Michael Kim, as well as Korn Ferry Tour player Jeffrey Kang.

FootJoy, meanwhile, are known for producing some of the best golf shoes and, with the Tour Alphas, you have a spiked model that provides great aesthetics and lots of stability.
